Graduate Engineer (Fluid Power)
Location: Hydac International, Altona North, Victoria
Primary Function: To assist and support the engineering team to deliver superior quality engineered technical solutions in accordance with customer’s project technical specifications and safety standards.
Accountabilities: • Compile & delivering of engineering documentation • Assist with assessing and clarifying of fluid power project enquiry specifications and requirements to compile a clear project scope of supply. • Assist with compiling of technical proposals and quotations. • Fluid power system design, including basic mechanical designs of package components. • Compiling of CAD models and drawings of packages using the Solid Works package • Hydraulic circuit drawings and designs using CAD based circuit drawing software. • Manage of fluid power projects • Assist with commissioning and trouble shooting of complex fluid power systems. • Assist with diagnostics & re engineering of existing fluid power systems • Liaising with customers to finalize technical requirements from initial proposal bids to final delivery of the project. • Perform administrative tasks and documentation control in an ISO9001 environment • Develop an understanding of the principles of mechanical engineering in a project based environment • Participate in engineering team meetings • Technical support to various Hydac branches and distributers. • Be prepared to learn and develop specialist skills to be a self sufficient Fluid Power engineer
Qualifications: Mechanical Engineering Degree (BEng) or equivalent completed qualification.
Additional Skills: • Experienced with MS Word and Excel. • Experienced of Solid Works design package. • Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language. • Good attention to detail and Committed to ensure that tasks are followed through and completed efficiently. • Willingness to be hands on for diagnostics and commissioning of packages • Excellent planning, analytical problem solving and research skills.
Experience: University studies with 2 years of general engineering industry working experience
