Responsibilities

This is a “hands-on” role which requires a person with a high level of technical expertise. Your primary responsibility will be to Educate existing distributors, end users, EPCM’s and OEM’s in the latest Fluid Power Technology. HYDAC currently offers 10 training courses from Basic Hydraulics 1 to advanced Electro-Proportional Control, Hydraulic System Cleanliness and Practical Hydraulics to a National Recognition. You will join a dedicated team of Trainers who operate under a formalized Training process. You will have extensive technical support and up to date training in the latest application and engineering that will give you a competitive advantage.

  • Conduct Local and In-Field Training
  • Require to Offer Training Needs Analysis & Formal Assessments

Candidate

Your background will ideally include knowledge of the fluid power sector with experience in all industrial markets. You will be motivated, autonomous and driven by a passion to be technical. You are required to have a High degree of computer literacy skills, Excellent oral and written communication skills and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. You will have excellent communication, presentation & behavioural skills. Your understanding of customer needs, attention to detail and proven leadership skills will ensure your success in the role. Graduate Sales Engineer / Melbourne (VIC)

HYDAC, a major international Hydraulic Motion & Control manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and ambitious Graduate Sales Engineer to join the Victorian sales team.

Responsibilities

You will be primarily responsible for incoming phone-based inquiries, specifying product using the latest sizing software, creating formal quotations, order processing and offering technical support to the External Motion & Control Engineers within the company. You will be working as part of a professional team and will appreciate the importance of delivering a high-quality customer service. The role requires a strong technical focus on fluid power for providing advice and support. HYDAC’s Professional Graduation program will see you spend time in every department following a formal rotation program. You will also be required to complete 10 internal Technical Training courses, in our Training School. On completion of the program, (2-3 years) you will be offered an opportunity to work as an Application Engineer.

Project Engineer (Fluid Power) / Melbourne (VIC)

Primary Function

To assist and support the engineering team to deliver superior quality engineered technical solutions in accordance with customer’s project technical specifications and safety standards.

Accountabilities (including but not limited to)

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Compile & delivering engineering documentation.
  • Assist with assessing and clarifyingoffluid power & other systems project enquiry specifications and requirements to compile a clear project scope of supply.
  • Compiling of technical proposals and quotations.
  • Fluid power & other systems design, including mechanical designs for turnkey projects.
  • Hydraulic circuit drawings and designs using CAD-based circuit drawing software.
  • Compiling of CAD models and drawings of packages using the Solid Works package
  • Manage fluid power & other systems projects.
  • Assist with commissioning and troubleshooting of complex fluid power & other systems.
  • Assist with diagnostics & re-engineering of existing fluid power & other systems.
  • Liaising with customers to finalise technical requirements from initial proposal bids to final delivery of the project.
  • Assist with identifying & developing new customer opportunities for fluid power & other systems.
  • Perform administrative tasks and documentation control in an ISO9001 environment
  • Develop an understanding of the principles of mechanical engineering in a project-based environment.
  • Participate in engineering team meetings.
  • Technical support to various Hydac branches and distributors.
  • Be prepared to learn and develop specialist skills to be aself sufficientFluid Power engineer.

Qualifications

Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering Degree (BEng) or equivalent completed qualification.

Primary Function

Support Production and Engineering departments to efficiently deliver all systems projects. The principal focus is on hydraulic systems and power units. This will encompass building, commissioning and testing of HYDAC Systems. Will include circuit & manifold design and involvement in general system design and function. Part of this role involves associated technical administrative tasks.

Primary Function

Expediting and receiving ordered material from suppliers in time to meet company requirements. Following through items ordered and keeping system information updated at all the stages from ordering to receiving.

Accountabilities

  • Process daily incoming payments from customers
  • Send out daily customers’ invoices and monthly customers’ statements
  • Assist customers with all invoice queries and follow up overdue accounts in a timely manner
  • Prepare monthly spreadsheet on the status of the overdue balance of customers’ accounts
  • Process new supplier application
  • Process supplier invoices as per goods receipts
