Responsibilities

This is a “hands-on” role which requires a person with a high level of technical expertise. Your primary responsibility will be to Educate existing distributors, end users, EPCM’s and OEM’s in the latest Fluid Power Technology. HYDAC currently offers 10 training courses from Basic Hydraulics 1 to advanced Electro-Proportional Control, Hydraulic System Cleanliness and Practical Hydraulics to a National Recognition. You will join a dedicated team of Trainers who operate under a formalized Training process. You will have extensive technical support and up to date training in the latest application and engineering that will give you a competitive advantage.

  • Conduct Local and In-Field Training
  • Require to Offer Training Needs Analysis & Formal Assessments
  • Network with other training institutes and Authorities

Candidate

Your background will ideally include knowledge of the fluid power sector with experience in all industrial markets. You will be motivated, autonomous and driven by a passion to be technical. You are required to have a High degree of computer literacy skills, Excellent oral and written communication skills and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. You will have excellent communication, presentation & behavioural skills. Your understanding of customer needs, attention to detail and proven leadership skills will ensure your success in the role. A background in Mechanical & Technical trades within hydraulics or motion control is preferred.

Graduate Sales Engineer / Melbourne (VIC)

HYDAC, a major international Hydraulic Motion & Control manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and ambitious Graduate Sales Engineer to join the Victorian sales team.

Responsibilities

You will be primarily responsible for incoming phone-based inquiries, specifying product using the latest sizing software, creating formal quotations, order processing and offering technical support to the External Motion & Control Engineers within the company. You will be working as part of a professional team and will appreciate the importance of delivering a high-quality customer service. The role requires a strong technical focus on fluid power for providing advice and support. HYDAC’s Professional Graduation program will see you spend time in every department following a formal rotation program. You will also be required to complete 10 internal Technical Training courses, in our Training School. On completion of the program, (2-3 years) you will be offered an opportunity to work as an Application Engineer.

Help Desk Support / Melbourne (VIC)

Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well spoken and outgoing person to fill our expanding Help Desk. You will be the first point of contact for all IT support enquiries, responsible for installing PCs and laptops, developing training materials, training new users and carrying out other IT Related ad-hoc duties.  Occasional travel to our interstate branches is required.

Candidate

To be successful you must have the following:

Programmer / Melbourne (VIC)

HYDAC, a major international Hydraulic Motion & Control manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and ambitious Programmer to join the HYDAC Melbourne Engineering Team.

Primary Function

To create and modify computer programs for various turnkey engineered systems, by converting control requirements into software code, in accordance with customer’s project technical specifications and safety standards.

Accountabilities (including but not limited to)

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with supervisor and client.
  • Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analysing requirements; preparing a workflow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer/controller capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
  • Encodes project requirements by converting work flow information into various computer languages, such as C, C++, CoDeSys etc.
  • Build and use computer-assisted software engineering tools to improve the efficiency of writing software code.
  • Use & write code libraries.
  • Confirms program operation by conducting tests / debugging; modifying program sequence and/or codes.
  • Prepares reference for users by writing operating instructions.
  • Maintains historical records by documenting program development and revisions in an ISO9001 environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks and document control in an ISO9001 environment.
  • Assist with compiling quotations for software development.
  • Assist with commissioning and troubleshooting of control software.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing of professional publications.
  • Participate in engineering team meetings.
  • Assist with training of engineers and technical staff members on basic knowledge and requirements for efficient software development.
  • Technical support to various HYDAC branches & distributors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with industry experience.

Additional Skills

  • Experienced with MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience with networking topologies, specifically applicable to machine-2-machine communication, remote monitoring and IIOT.
  • Experience with database development will be advantageous.
  • Experience with industrial PLC’s, controllers, HMI’s and SCADA will be advantageous.
  • Experience with machine automation & control will be advantageous.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Good attention to detail and committed to ensuring that tasks are followed through and completed efficiently.
  • Excellent planning, project management, analytical problem solving and research skills.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of programming experience.

Qualifications
