Switching valves are an indispensable part of modern lubrication systems, both for railway lubrication systems and for progressive distributor systems. They ensure that division of the system into sections is possible. By switching on or off the respective sections, we can ensure precise timing and precise dosing of the highly viscous lubricant.
High-pressure lubrication systems must sustain the highly viscous lubricant even at low winter temperatures down to – 40° C. Working pressures up to more than 500 bar should be handled safely and the system must work reliably even during extended periods. It is, therefore, imperative to prevent the solidification of the grease in the switch valve interior. The design of our WVM-4B-Bi valves copes particularly well with these challenges.
BIERI WVM 4B-Bi valves, also known in the industry as grease valves, are the reliable solution for selecting and/or switching off the lubrication points/sections.
Installation of the valves is on the lubrication power pack or decentralised near the points/sections.
These valves are bi-directional, directly operated, oil leakage free and suitable for constant pressure ranges up to 700 bar with mineral oils and also with high viscous media like grease up to NLGI-class 2. These electrically actuated valves can be flowed through in both directions.
