Shipbuilding and repair services in Australia

The shipbuilding and repair services industry is expected to be minimally affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to IbisWorld research.

The industry and market research database firm says industry revenue is less affected by economic influences as revenue is largely made up of defence contracts funded by the Australian Government.

Revenue for this industry, according to the research, is forecast to grow at an annualised 4.2 percent over the five years through 2026-27, to total $4.9 billion.
