Chaff test on cooler core in operation

Chaff test made in HYDAC Cooling core.

  • All the chaff are attached to the cooler core. Half of the cooler core area was sprayed with water.
  • The water is passing behind the cooler core.
  • After 10 minutes of operation, the cooler stop. Then, after 1 minute, the cooler goes in reverse for 30 seconds and then stops for 1 minute before going back to normal operation (suction mode).
  • Only a small amount of chaff remain in the front part of the cooler core and can be easily removed by air pressure gun (like described in the HYDAC Installation Operation and Maintenance Manual).
